The best way to see what the island is really like, it's not just all beach and rock, there's more!

Setting off from the south around 9am you go straight up to one of the more typically Canarian towns of the island Arucas. The town is famous here for producing pretty much all of the rum that's consumed in the Canary Islands so first a quick tour of the factory with free tasting of all the different types produced afterwards & of course there's a shop if you want to buy any.

After that on to the historic quarter of the town & to the spectacular neo-Gothic church there. Free time for a walk around the area and inside the church.

From Arucas on to the most typical of all Canarian towns, Teror. A short 10-minute guided walk to the church then 45 minutes free time to explore the town. Don't eat anything! as the next stop is lunch, at around 1300 not far from here. There's a set menu on offer for 10 euros with a choice of 2 starters, 3 main courses, 2 deserts, mineral water & wine.

After lunch you go to the very center of the island to Cruz de Tejeda and there's a stop just above the village with some amazing views accross the clouds, mountains and on most days all the way to Mount Teide on Tenerife.

Finally you head back down south via San Bartolome and Fataga with one last stop for panoramic views of the south & down to Maspalomas.
