can anybody give me info on how to go about getting a taxi licence in rico

Jim i would say the main thing is to speak spanish fluently

There are only a limited amount of taxi licences given out within each area. Puerto Rico is covered by the area of Mogan.
You could contact the ayuntamiento of mogan but you may hit a brick wall. Spanish will need to be fluent as bluemoon says and it'll be who you know in high places and not necessarily what you know.

There was an English taxi driver a while a go, but dont think he is around any more.

Currently there are no more licenses going to be issued - they are like gold dust as obviously each one can be a family or generation's livleyhood.
Your better bet is finding someone who already has one and asking if you can buy into it - ie = someone who drives by day and not by night - you could drive by night.
The other thing though is the license goes with the car so you would have to use a car that already has a license.
The transfer companies (such as the one we have) are often interested but you would need to have a course on emergency repairs of a car, first aid and permission to drive a passenger minibus with 8 passengers in addition to the standard driving license.
To surmise - it ain't easy!

owen i can do all of the above and have a psv aswell the only thing is my spanish but hey ive got the spanish lessons booked so we shall see
