Just read this today on Fuerteventura forum can anyone verify.
'I've received notification today from Spanish Interior Ministry that the new points scheme comes into effect throughout Spain from 1st July. Spanish driving licence holders will start off with 12 points and deductions will be made for a wide range of offenses, from parking on bus stops (2 points), U turns where not allowed (3 points)to driving under influence of alcohol/drugs (6 points) - all sorts of stuff is included. The letter says that tourists will have infringements reported back to their home country too.'
