Most beautiful island of Canaries ?

Hello to all!
We are very happy to visit the Canary Islands this June but we can't go to all of them.So, we have the chance to visit just one of them.Could you tell us which is the most beautiful?I know that it's a bit difficult to answer, but we would greatly appreciate it if you helped us with any kind of answer regarding their beauty and speciality!Thank you for your time!

All the islands are beautiful in their own way but I would say La Palma and La Gomero are probably the most beautiful.
However, I prefer Gran Canaria, you have the lovely beaches and then the fantasic mountains and lakes all on one island, the call it the mini continent.

I agree with CSI.
GC is called the mini continent. We have an old city - Las Palmas - with culture and a fantastic beach. The weather is cooler up there (about 10 degrees diffrence between north and south)
South there are lots of small bays - white sands and palm trees and then the dunes (nature reserve) in Maspalomas with sand as far as you can see.
Inland the mountains and barrancos are stunning - like walking/driving through and old weatern movie. You can imagine the Indians coming over the ridge when you go along Guayadeque valley.
We have water parks and animal parks for the kids too
GC is a great place and even better if you get out of the resorts and travel around.

Lanzarote is beautiful - none of the houses can be built highr than one storey. Much flatter than GC but lovely beaches

Fuerteventura -is the wind surfers paradise, so a bit windy but basically one huge beach with lovely villages around it

Tenerife is greener than GC with Teide in the middle - the highest point in Spain. They have snow on the tip most of the time. Great drive around the mountains

La Gomera is apparently beautiful and I want to go there one day - but its only really a long weekend type place. Good diving i believe

I see you have asked this on Tenerife forum. They will have more idea of the smaller islands, as they are closer to them

Most Beautiful by far is Lanzarote!!!!

Visited four - stayed on three. Lanzarote way better by miles!!

Lanzarote is beautiful but just too windy for me.
My parents are in PDC due home on Thursday with my brother and his girlfriend. Having a ball :banana:

We have only visited 4 of the islands to date. I will rate them 1
(most desirable) to 4 (not quite as desirable) but I loved them all. Each one has it's own special attraction and they are all very different. It also depends on your age. For example, La Gomera could not be recommended for dusk to dawn wild all night entertainment, but the other 3 islands can cater for all types of lifestyles

2 Gran Canaria
3 Teneriffe
4 Lanzarote

I absolutely love tenerife it is so beautiful went up into the mountains and was amazed at the scenery.Now not so mobile so go to the best in gran canaria Puerto Rico :thumb:

We’ve been to all four of the major islands, Lanzarote x2, fuerteventura x1, Tenerife x3 and Gran Canaria x 5 soon to be 6 in September. We're not the type to sit around a pool or beach all day and like to get about a bit, seeing as much as we can on each trip.


If I were to put them in order of favourite first it would have to be.
#1 Gran Canaria. We love its diversity.:thumb:
#2 Tenerife. Nice and plenty of things to do through out the day
#3 Lanzarote. Much too windy for us both times we’ve visited and no way near as beautiful as Gran Canaria in our opinion.
#4 Fuerteventura. Again too windy and too quiet for our liking.

What would life be like if we all had the same tastes.:)
