shoutbox problems

Hi, I have been trying to use the shoutbox to say hello to you all but when I press the "shout " button it clears my message!
Is there something I am doing wrong, Maybe someone can help?

when you log on with your user name and password tick the remember me box and that may help you to be able to shout without clearing your message
