I gave the Canaryforum website details to some work collegues today so that they could have a look at the review section to read the reviews about the hotels that members have stayed in.
On clicking various options trying to find the review section we ended up on a page advertising "Rob's Muscle Rub", and then with a hasty click, on "Gay Travel".
This was much to my embarrassement, and not a pleasant experience after recommending the website.
The last time I read a post where someone asked about accommodation, they were still being directed to the review section, (where I have posted several reviews in the past).
When did this change???
Still loving the Forum, but was very sad to read about the fires.

If i remember correctly Owen had to sacrifice the Apartment/Hotel reviews
to accomodate the Shoutbox. To read reviews best go to the forum or http://www.holidaysuncovered.co.uk/ is always a good site. Funny i can't find " Rob's Muscle Rub".. not that i would be interested of course...just curious...

Thanks for that info - that'll learn me - I was amongst those that urged Owen to try to reinstate the "Shout Box". (I had been missing watching Rab dance - after a few Cabardis!!!)
At home "Rob" did not invade my computer, so maybe he is a pop-up ad!!!

Many thanks for your reply, I tried to post a thank you this am, but a message popped up to say that a moderator would need to authorise my message first. Since when has this been happening? I have been a member of Canaryforum at least since 2003!!
Anyway, back to the review section, since I was one of the ones that urged Owen to try to re-install "Shout box" - I has been missing watching Rab dance after a few Cabardis!! - I will have to accept the sacrifice.
Just wish I had realised before my reccommendations!!!
By the way, loging in at home, my computer was not invaded by "Rob". perhaps he is a pop-up ad!!

Thanks Wullie, I did try to post earlier but kept getting a message to say my post had to be approved by a moderator???
Been a member since at least 2003!!!

By the way, logging on at home, my computer was not invaded by "Rob" - may be he is a 'pop-up' ad, and my filters are set higher!!

URL short for Uniform Resource Locator. In other words an address to another site on the t'interweb. In this case the link to holidays uncovered that was posted and then requoted :-)

It came in a couple of months ago to protect the site from spammers etc. One of those behind the scenes things

Thanks for the info Chorlton & Mary, I understand what you are saying. I have visited "Holidays Uncovered" many times, and whilst this is an excellent website, I do know that they allow "Pop-ups" from other holiday companies, which you do not see at first - until you start closing Internet Browser, and find you have about 5 other windows open behind!!
Thank you aslo for not mentioning my atrocious spelling of "recommendation".
Back in GC in December again - all being well, :thumb:
