Advice?!

Hi,

Myself and a friend are both 21 and looking to work away for the summer! Preferably doing bar work or waitressing in a lively resort with lots of nightlife! We are considering Playa del Ingles or Puerto Rico but we really do not have a clue what type of resorts these are, ie, family, quiet, lively etc!

Can anyone help?? Any help at all would me greatly appreciated!!

A friend of mine lived in Playa del Ingles but after 6 months she and most her friends there were fed up with all the extreme partying. :boozy:


They all moved to what should be more quiet places on the island..
- some moved to Puerto Rico.. But I've heard it is quite lively there aswell:boozy:


I like Playa del Ingles though! It's like the Las Vegas of GC with all the lights and noise at night:boozy:

We only want to go for three months!But are really stuck about which to pick!

So they are both quite lively resorts then??

I don't suppose you have any idea about wages for doing pr-ing and waitressing do you??

I've heard other resorts like Zante and Malia you get about 30 euros a night!

My friend told me not to expect more than 1 euro pr. hour in the beginning, and there is tips of course, then when they get to know you you will get a raise. (This is in Playa del Ingles)
Good for you if you are good at charming your boss!! :rose:

At some restaurants you can expect to get free food as payment too.

They like it if you have spunk and are very outgoing.:banana:

So go charm the hell out of them!!!:D

my sister in laws finance runs a nightclub in puerto rico.if you want i could find out if hes taking on more staff for the summer months and find out the wages for you.also the tips and info site( cant remember full site name ) have list of vacant jobs on the island and accomadation lettings etc.

The past few years i have been to kos and you can just walk into bars and get a job most of the time-is this what it would be like here??

Think i need to alot more research before I decide!
