Exchange rates

Anyone know what the Exchange rate in PR is at the moment. The rate over here is the worst :banghead: I’ve seen since the Euro came in. We always change our money over in PR at Christina’s and have got a better rate than anything we get here

We were getting 1.28/1.29 3 weeks ago that was at the Agua le perra shopping centre.

No Christinas doesnt charge commission

Anyone know the opening hours for amigos and christinas. We'll not get there while late saturday night, so may have to change enough Euros to get me through to monday. As I think their both closed on sundays.

yes both closed on sundays, aminjos open on sat night but would be closed I imagine by the time you arrive.
think its 9am they both open

Thanks for that Rab, thought so.

Just come back form town and had a little look round for the best rate, 1.22 was the best we found. I'm going to have to get a least £250 quids worth to get me through while monday, got to pay 94 euros for Owens Taxi when we arrive.

Got my starter money sorted now, so don’t have to pay the 1.22 they have in town. Brother in-law is in Tenerife at the moment and has text me back asking how much I want as he’s getting 1.30 Euros to the pound over there.

Exchange rate to is 125 at amigos and 127 at christinias

Exchange rate is on the up in town today, 1.24 is the best thats on offer. So thats up 0.02 :blink: on Thursadys rate of 1.22, hopefully it's going to get better.:thankyou:

Been watching this thread very closely as we are coming to peurto rico in 2 weeks.

Thank god we got some euros in February when the rate was a bit higher in England. i only get a small amount to put us over the first couple of days and our intention is to get the rest in English sterling cheques and cashing them over there.Previously i have always cashed my cheques in the shop nearest to the Barbacoa (nearest the steps) as they have never charged me commision before

Now i feel very silly asking this question but can anyone tell me where christinas or amigos is, i have probably been there in previous years but unfortunatley i dont really take any notice of the names of the shops just the locations.

we've got an account at Nationwide Building Society.

They offer a free withdrawal service from any international ATM or debit card payment.

Not sure what the current rate is, but based on previous experience they offer a better rate than the booths and hotels.

Was checking myself yest 1.24 in all the high street shops. Our staff ATM which allegedly offers the best rate on the high street was offering 1.244 (which is presume is an extra 0.4 of a cent)

Noticed the bank rate is 128.8 today.
