I am currently in the process of updating the forum.

Install the new software
Check the old features are all working and configured correctly
Get the new features configured correctly
Install & configure and add-ons (the chat will be one of them)

Sorry to say the arcade will not be back until next month at the earliest but the chat should be back in the next day or two.

The main things to check out here with new features include

The control panel (a ton of stuff in there from adding friends to starting your own groups of members)

User Albums - add your recent holiday photos to your profile / forum

If you get stuck or have any questions, post them all in reply to this. Enjoy!

Sorry rab!!!!

I had a usergroup for people I wanted to suspend for a week where they couldn't do anything and I put you in it by mistake.

I actually created a new usergroup just for you to allow you to upload bigger photos than the rest of us and more of them but I put you in the suspension group by mistake.

You should be good to go now

For the moment this is as big as it gets. It is the same for me too, well, around 75% of my screen. Later on I am going to be looking at installing some new, additional styles and will make sure there is an option or two which will use all the screen.

Photo albums are in the "usercp", create an album then upload photos to it. Make sure they are 100kb or less and no bigger than 800 x 600 in dimension though. The forum will tell you if they are too big and need to be resized.

Another thing i noticed are the ads are appearing inbetween posts, rather than at bottom of page?
Unless its intentional of course.

Well said jojo :welldone:

I just want to say that I really enjoy reading this forum. I haven't joined in much in the past, but hope to post more now. I went to PR in October and it was my first holiday for a long time, and even though I'd been to PR before, it had been years since I'd been. I took note of lots of information from here with me when I went, and it definitely added to the holiday to have recommendations of restaurants etc to visit. We're going back in June and can't wait!

I am also loving looking at everyone's photos! I'll need to add some too!

Tess,
You have to have a post count of at least 20, so just keep posting about anything relevent. I think Owen has done this to keep the undesireables away, read the forum updated rules, good luck !!!

Hopefully it is going to be a while now before the people who made the forum software re-write it. They've just spent a lot of time doing just that and I have just finished installing all the new files on the canaryforum website.

Most of you will already be familiar with the new features and between today and yesterday, nothing has really changed at all that you will see. The main thing for me is I can now look at all the changes and additions available and install any I think we will all like.

That includes the arcade when I get chance, hopefully by the end of the week-end.
