Laundrette and home insurance

Two questions:
For some strange reason, the "mecanico" who is supposed to take a look at the washing machine which is broken, and I, never seem to meet in spite of many "dates" and waiting (on my part). ... well, my washing can not wait any more. So, is there a laundrette (isn't that what they are called?) anywhere near Maspalomas, does anyone know?

Anyone know about a good company for home insurance here in the ''Canaries? My car is with Liberty, but they don't seem to do more than cars, or so I understood with my still limited Spanish....

Look in tips and info - next to our advert is one by Enrique. He does health, house, car etc etc

Some dry cleaners do a service wash. You take in your stuff and collect it a few days later all clean and dry

There is a laundry in Ave Tirajana (bottom end) If you know where the Tile shop is - go behind there & there is a little supermarket - Go behind the supermarket & there is a row of shops one of which is a laundry.
Also there is one in Yumbo (on the block where Owen's office is -but the other side)
And there is one on the road in San Fernando somewhere CC Nilo.
