Anyone been to Stalis?

I know I know... CANARYforum :fatgrin:
Ive been to PR for my last 3 hols and pining dreadfully but himself is off to Portugal with the lads playing golf (how much golf will actually be played is another story altogether!) and I had no break planned so when the offer of a week in Stalis in Crete with my madhatter mother and her buddy came up I jumped at the chance.
Has anybody been???
Would love to know what the place is like, wheres good to eat and drink out, whats the beach like, things to do during the day etc...
Familiarity is great with PR so feeling a bit like a fish out of water for this hol:confused:

I was in Stalis approx 6 years ago,
Its rather a small Resort with Malia next door which is busier and more lively nightlife if into that.

The shops and Resturaunts are mainly on a strip along the beach.

The beach is lovely and not man made, the bars/Restuarants on the beach front all own the Sun Loungers and will charge you for the use of them which is standard cost, they might let you have them cheaper if you regularly eat/drink on their premises.

I am not sure names of good Resturaunts but you will know, as like most places go where it is busy.

For what i remember of Stalis it was rather laid back, no real hassles of trying to get pulled into Resturants/shops/bars.

Since i did very little whilst there i am not sure in regards to touristy stuff.

Enjoy anyway, i do prefer Canaries tho!
