Currency
Banks are open 6 days a week (closed Sunday) from 08:30 to 14:00, (13:00 Saturday). Being Spanish, the Canaries have switched to the Euro. As from 1st March 2002 the peseta is no more. Travellers from non-euro countries (UK springs to mind) can bring your currency still and have it exchanged into euros once you're here. Any other questions about the euro, don't ask, I probably haven't got a clue. Have a look HERE instead.
