THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2004
Still lovely hot summer/beach weather all month. Clear skies and 35C pretty much every day. The odd couple of days during the month saw a little rain and thick cloud but whichever week you came this month you'd have gone home with a nice tan and spent most of your time on the beach.
THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2004
Deja-vouz! See July below including the last week of August being a calima only a little cooler around 44C.
THE MONTH OF JULY 2004
Less scattered cloud and the breezes not so strong any more so generally a hotter feel but that's summer for you. Temperatures mainly in the low 30s with clear skies most days all through the month until .... the last week we had a "calima" (the hot breeze drifting over from the nearby Sahara). Temperatures for the last 8 or 9 days around the mid 40sC (up to 47C) by day and not dropping below the 30 mark at night so pretty stifling.
THE MONTH OF JUNE 2004
Getting ready and warmer for the summer. Temperatures most days around the 30C mark by day and low 20s at night. A little scattered cloud and slight breeze most days but generally each day a beach day.
THE MONTH OF MAY 2004
May was the month our summer finally arrived but the first couple of weeks was a bit touch-and-go. Half the days covered in cloud and the other half sunny with temperatures around the mid 20s. A couple of days saw a couple of light showers but a week wouldn't have gone by during the month where you didn't have a couple of decent beach days and a sun tan. The last week was pretty constance clear skies and temperatures topping the 30C mark by day and the 20C by night.
THE MONTH OF APRIL 2004
Decent enough temperatures but a lot more cloud round than usual. A good day would have seen 25% of the day clouded over; an average day 50% clouded over and the last week or so saw 50-75% cloud. Sunny spells creeped up towards the 30 mark but most of the day in the mid to high 20s and under cloud.
THE MONTH OF MARCH 2004
Well that was a wierd month; very unusual weather so you can't use this for reference for next year. The first week or two started out pretty normal with temperatures around the mid to high 20s by day and 16 - 18C by nights. Into the second or third week though and we had a sirocco, a hot wind from the Sahara brought us a week of hazy weather but temperatures in the mid 30s and plenty of sun every day. Towards the end of the month though we had storms. Nothing too bad, no flooding but downpours of rain and thick black cloud for a few days.
THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2004
Started off a typicalmonth, just like january. We seem to be getting a bad week with storms around November - December the last coupleof years only this year it was themiddleof February. No flooding this time but plenty of rain and gail-force winds. The week after was pretty dismal too with plenty of cloud and cold nights. Middleof the month we had areally bad sirocco and by the end of the month though everything back to normal with a little scattered cloud andplenty of sun by day and temperatures back up in the mod 20s.
THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2004
Not bad for the middle of winter. On the whole, if you were here for a week you'd have had 1 pretty lousy day with cloud, a couple more days with just enough sun to get you burnt if you lounged round the pool all day and the other 4 would have been pretty much clear skies most of the day. Sunny spells say temperatures hovering round the 30 mark and the cloudy ones in the lower 20s.
THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2003
Typical winter, typical December. A few cloudy days but nothing to spoil a week in the sun. Temperatures in general around the mid 20s most days and 17 or 18C by night.
THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2003
Wintr weather finally arrived this month. A decent amount of scattered cloud and chilly breeze means the temperature can drop to the low 20s. Once the cloud passes and the sun is out though it shoots back up to the high 20s so still nice holiday weather. Around 1/3 of the day is covered in cloud with 2/3 sunshine. The odd 5 minutes of rain a couple of times during the month but otherwise, the best weather by far anywhere in europe.
